MAS Films came to be because it is the initials of my name, Marisa Anz Steiner. More than that, as a Latina woman I wanted a name that would embrace that part of my story. Más means more in Spanish, and with every project I take on, I want to bring more than initially imagined to exceed expectations. When you trust MAS Films to bring your vision to life, be assured that we will go above and beyond to create the best work possible.

 

As the founder, I am passionate about all things storytelling. Our stories connect us and hold significance we are not quite able to grasp. One of my favorite things is connecting with people through all forms of storytelling, especially writing, photography, and film. I desire to tell stories that give a voice to the voiceless and broaden our current perceptions of the world.

I love challenging myself through different projects of my own and also working with others. I've been known for bringing a bright smile, open heart, and optimistic attitude to the work I do. When I'm not after my next documentary idea, I'm usually found exploring nature, doing yoga, or sipping tea. I hope to use creative expression to cultivate understanding across different cultures, languages, generations, and people groups.
